most people don’t think about nature when they think about new york. nearly every inch of the city is manmade. even the parks are unnatural, but that doesn’t make them any less pretty. and since people are technically natural, then isn’t anything we produce also technically natural? who decides what is and isn’t nature? just because a human hand planted the seed doesn’t make a tree any less a naturally occuring tree. so, lets put all the debates to rest and just gaze upon the pretty, pretty trees of central park. photographer spencer katz handmade this book in support of his exhibition A Walk in the Park, which was on view at All Street Studios in August 2023.
