specular is a collabortive artist book exploring the relationship between self image and domestic bathrooms. participants in the project range from family members to friends, acquaintances, and strangers, both across the United States and internationally. each person was invited to participate through an online form requesting an image of themself in their home bathroom, a short reflection on how their bathroom informs teir relationship to their body, and how they prefer to be identified. in the submission of their image, there  was only one rule: that their face should be concealed.
