PRESS RELEASE

NEW YORK, NY 一  All About A Little Bit Fat is a show featuring A Little Bit Fat – artist Ruichao Jiang’s Avian alter ego. The show collects and presents a wide range of Jiang’s attempts – 32 pieces in total – in capturing the presence of A Little Bit Fat. The white body, the colored backgrounds, the brushes, the textures, the materials, the occupancy, and even the air around are ways A Little Bit Fat exists in reality that Jiang bartered with human time and effort. The show is a phased approach to embody this ongoing exchange that leaves behind a series of white, warm, chubby, but hollow circular dots in the long corridor of arrays of existences.

All Street Gallery is where the curator, shuang cai, first collaborated with Jiang and A Little Bit Fat. As mentioned in the exhibition text, A Little Bit Fat was presented as a SPAM meat project for the SPAMtember show hosted in All Street, Dec 2023. Having All Street to be the vessel of the marking stage of A Little Bit Fat in All Street is a functional choice, but more importantly, an intentional manifestation of the community of practice that has formed and continues to evolve around the creature, the artist, the curator, and the gallery space.

Please join us to see and celebrate how the warm desolation can take on physical weight and become a shared, sustaining body of community. All About A Little Bit Fat is on view at All Street Gallery, 77 E 3rd Street, New York from Dec 5 - 9th, 2025.

About All Street Gallery:
Founded in 2018, All Street Gallery is a gallery and platform for emerging and underrepresented artists whose work focuses on social engagement and community empowerment. Initially created as an artist collective and grassroots protest organization, All Street is driven by its roots in the city’s creative community. The gallery’s mission is to use art as a means of protest, resistance, and social change, highlighting voices that challenge the status quo. After opening its first location on East Third Street in the East Village, All Street expanded in 2023 with a second space at 119 Hester Street. Both locations continue to provide a platform for artists whose work addresses important social and political issues.
